The Helsinki Daybed is a stylish alternative to a traditional sofabed.  Made to order in your choice of over 130 fabrics.

With a fully upholstered wooden frame, foam seat cushion and rectangular arm cushions the Helsinki Daybed is hand crafted in our UK factory.  Made to order in only 4 weeks daybeds look great placed the foot of a bed, or in a study or spare room.  The folded out bed is the size of a small double bed, which is ideal for occasional use by guests. As the daybed has no back it can be manoeuvred through tight doorways and upstairs making it a great choice for upstairs rooms, loft conversions and apartments.

  1. Your Fabric Selection *

    Please make a selection from the fabric choices available.

  2. Mattress Upgrade *

    Your new sofabed comes with a foam mattress and a trampoline base. Please note all mattresses fold into the sofabed action.

  3. Add Mattress Topper

    Your new sofabed comes with either a foam or pocket sprung mattress, for extra comfort you can add a mattress topper. Our topper is 10cm deep with 1400gsm super soft microfibre fill and has elastic corner straps for easy fitting. The mattress toppers are designed to fit our sofabeds and we will supply the topper to match the width of sofabed action your choose. Please note the topper will need to be stored separately to your sofabed.

  4. Add Duvet and Pillow Set

    Your can add a set of 2 pillows and a duvet to your sofabed. Our Deluxe Set is a 15 tog hollow fibre duvet with polycotton outer and polycotton covered pillows. Our Egyptian Cotton Hotel Quality Set is a 13.5 tog feather duvet with Egyptian cotton outer and Egyptian cotton covered pillows. Please note the duvet and pillows will need to be stored separately to your sofabed.

  5. Add Arm Caps

    You can order arm caps to match your new sofabed. Made from the fabric you have chosen for your sofabed they will help prolong the life of your new sofabed.

  6. Add Scatter Cushions

    You can order 1, 2, 3 or 4 scatter cushions made to order in fabric to match your new sofabed. Our scatters are fibre filled and are 40cm square.

  7. Wider Bed Upgrade

    Your new sofabed comes with a sofabed action that is the same size as a small double bed as standard (188cm x 119cm) Upgrade to a standard double bed size action (188cm x 139cm). This upgrade will also have the benefit of increasing the width of the seating area by approximately 20cm. Please note it will increase the Total Width of your sofabed by 20cm, so you need to ensure that this will fit in your room.

  8. Bolt on Arms

    Your new sofabed comes with fixed arms. Bolt on arms allows the arms to be removed and attached to fit through narrow doorways and passages. Please note the total width of your sofa will increase by 6cm. <!– what is this? –>

  9. Storage Footstool

    Your can order a footstool to match your sofabed. These will be manufactured in the same fabric as your sofabed. Available as a Small (45cm high x 52cm wide x 52cm deep) or as a Large (45cm high x 104cm wide x 52cm deep)

Please be aware that your order is accepted subject to our terms and conditions, it is imperative that you check that the Sofabed will fit into your home, and ultimately your room of choice. Please check carefully door measurements, stairwells etc. This is a bespoke manufactured product and we do not accept returns on the basis that it does not fit into your home. Please note that if you order a wider bed mechanism the overall width increases by 20 cm.

Helsinki Daybed, Stunning fabric and excellent quality

Helsinki Daybed Ordered is Chatsworth Beige Boucle fabric. It’s stunning, the fabric is lovely. I upgraded to the pocket sprung mattress, with added topper, arm covers and 3 cushions. I’ve Not tried the topper yet but the bed is very comfortable without it. The size of this daybed was Perfect for my office with limited space for a bed to accommodate occasional guests. Super helpful company, seamless delivery. I highly recommend sofabed.co.uk

Delightful day bed

I absolutely love my Helsinki day bed in Sandringham Velvet Boysenberry. It sits very serenely in my study, and is great for sojourning and taking the odd work call - or maybe even a glass of something chilled. I also love it because it doesn't really look like a sofa bed, just a great piece of furniture - and the open back design really adds to that. My only regret is that if I'd waited a few weeks I would have benefited from the spring deal of a free sprung mattress upgrade (saving £95)...😊
